| Fun Facts | An funfact about Stamsund Gym and Turn is that among today’s gymnasts, we find the longest active participant. She has been a part of the gymnastics group since its inception in 2010. At that time, she was only 3.5 years old, and now, as a young adult at 17, she continues to inspire and impress with her dedication and talent. Stamsund, a village in the Vestvågøy municipality in Lofoten, is the home of this gymnastics group and is known for its rich cultural life. With approximately 1100 residents, Stamsund is not only a hub for gymnastics but also for other sports through the subgroups of Stamsund IL, which includes skiing and football. Furthermore, Stamsund is the main shareholder in local initiatives and proudly hosts a vibrant cultural life, including two independent theater groups – «Teater nor» and «Figurteateret i Nordland» – as well as an art gallery and several artists, all contributing to the dynamic community. |
